E2U Ride

Text messages from E2U Ride

What E2U texts you, how often, and how to stop it.

E2U Ride texts you for two reasons: to let you sign in, and to tell you something about a trip you are on. Nothing else. There is no marketing and there never will be.

What E2U sends

Your sign in code
A six digit code when you sign in or confirm your number. One text, when you ask for it.
Somebody asked to join your trip
To you, as a Host, when a Guest asks for a seat.
Your request was accepted or declined
To you, as a Guest, when the Host answers.
A trip you are on is about to leave, changed, or was cancelled
Only for trips you are actually on.
A safety message
If you raise an emergency, or if somebody you are traveling with does.

How often

Frequency varies, because it follows what you do. A member who shares one trip a month gets a handful of texts a month. A member commuting every weekday gets more. Message and data rates may apply, and that is between you and your mobile carrier.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any E2U text and E2U stops texting that number. Reply HELP and E2U replies with how to reach support.

Stopping texts does not close your account, and it does not take you off a trip you have already joined. What it does mean is that your sign in code can no longer be texted to you, so you will need to sign in with your email instead, and that trip alerts will reach you only in the app and by email. You can start them again from your account at any time.

What E2U never puts in a text

No address, no amount, no surname, and no other member's phone number. A text says that something happened and where to look. The detail is behind your sign in, which is also why a text that reaches the wrong phone tells a stranger nothing useful.

Who E2U shares your number with

Nobody, for marketing, ever. Your number is not shown to other members: messages between members go through E2U. It is given to the company that delivers the text and to nobody else, and that company may not use it for anything but delivering E2U's messages.

Carrier

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Questions

Email info@e2uride.com. If you want your number removed from E2U entirely rather than just stopping texts, that is part of deleting your account.
