How E2U Ride works
No professional drivers. Nobody is hired and nobody is dispatched. Just real people sharing trips they were already making.
You do not need the exact same destination
A Guest can join part of a Host's direction if the match makes sense for both sides.
Most members are both. One account, one profile, one rating, and nothing to apply for. Everybody sends three things E2U approves: your photo, your ID, and a photo of you holding it. Hosting adds a car, its registration and your insurance.
Everyday directions
Work, gym, errands, events and more.
There and back
Going to the same event? Share the trip there, and decide the way back separately.
Built for both sides
Tools for both sides, before and during a trip.
E2U cannot guarantee a phone keeps reporting.
How Safety Shield works
While a trip is active, E2U transmits both members' locations, from the moment the trip starts rather than from the moment somebody presses a button.
A phone can be switched off or lose signal. E2U keeps the last known position and the time it stopped, as part of the trip.
Know a little before you go
A few preferences, so you know who you are traveling with.
Going this way often?
Save regular directions once and reuse them.
E2U checks with you each week before posting your saved directions.
Contributions, kept simple
E2U works out each Guest's share automatically.
See how contributions work
20 miles shared in a medium sedan, worked out live rather than written here.
What a Host recovers. A Host is never paid for driving. They are recovering part of an expense they already had, and they can never recover more than the journey cost them. E2U will not let them, takes nothing from a Host, and never calls this earnings.
The Guest's service fee. E2U's fee is charged to the Guest on top of their contribution. It is never taken out of what the Host recovers, and it never touches the part that covers going out of their way.
The card processor. The card processor charges 2.9% of each payment plus $0.30. The Guest and the Host split it, half and half, and E2U carries none of it: out of every trip E2U keeps its service fee and nothing more.
Going out of the way. Miles a Host drives only to collect or set down one Guest are that Guest's alone, along with any toll or parking charge they caused.
Membership. E2U Flex, Free. E2U Unlimited, $24.99 a month. A membership changes what E2U charges a Guest, never what a Host recovers.
